"Camp Tamakwa is located in Algonquin Park, offering the prime environment for wilderness medical training. It was founded in 1936 and is a boat access only camp.

Your stay at Camp Tamakwa will be fully catered, from the day of your arrival to departure. Participants will get the full camp experience when they stay in our rustic group/private accommodations. Participants will also enjoy our "world class" Camp meal service that will prepare the 3 main meals a day with mid day "tootsie frootsie" and a late night snack. Camp Tamakwa asks that you arrive at camp the evening before the day of your course.

Upon registration to a First Aid in the Park - CWMT course, Camp Tamakwa will send you an accommodation & dietary restrictions form to ensure your needs will be met." program is designed for participants with a current Advanced Wilderness First Aid certification to upgrade their training to Wilderness First Responder.

Written and Practical examinations will be used at the completion of this training to award certification.
