Q:How are groups assigned?
A:Campers are grouped by grade. If there is a friend request, we will make an exception if the friend is within 1 grade difference after speaking with the parent. Camp groups will have a Counselor, an Assistant Counselor, Junior Counselor and Intern assigned to them.

Q:Can my child leave early/arrive late to camp?
A:We strongly encourage you to minimize any scheduling conflicts that require late arrival or early pick-up. This will be particularly important on Field Trip days as we will be unable to hold the buses. This would be on Wednesdays - June 26, July 10 and July 17. In the event that such a conflict is unavoidable, please make arrangements with the Camp Director by emailing Abby Cota at acota@aolp.org in advance. Late arrivals or early pick-ups will take with parents meeting the Camp Director at the main office of the school.

Q:Where will drop-off and pick-up take place each day?
A:Campers begin and end each day by being dropped-off and picked-up through the OLP Circle-Drive parking lot. Parents/guardians will remain in their cars at all times, and circle through the Circle Drive. This is located at the corner of Oregon St. and Copley Avenue behind the Large Green Iron Gates. Drop-off will begin starting at 8:15 am, and Pick-up will start at 3:20 pm. Each family will receive 2 Car Tags with their student's name on it. These will be handed out on the first day of camp. Should a family need more for multiple cars or carpools, you need only email the Camp Director, Abby Cota, acota@aolp.org, and we will provide it. All individuals eligible for picking up your child need to be listed on your pick-up form. If a parent is picking up multiple children, the car tags can just be displayed on the dashboard vs hanging from the rear-view mirror! We will have multiple Junior Counselors to walk campers to and from cars in the morning and afternoon.

Q:What if my child is sick or is unable to attend camp for another reason?
A:If your child is going to miss a day of camp, please contact the Camp Director, Abby Cota at acota@aolp.org, ASAP to notify us of the absence. If your camper has not been checked in by 9:00 am you will receive an email from Ms. Cota notifying you of the absence.

Q:What does my child need to bring to camp each day?
A:Pleas have your daughter bring the following: a morning or afternoon snack, lunch, sunscreen (as they will have activities out on the grass of North Terrace), a reusable water bottle, if you have approved them to access our marketplace please complete the online form - it is cashless so they need Apple Pay or a credit card, comfortable shoes for play, on field trip days they should always wear their Pilot Summer Academy T-Shirt.

Q:Can I request my camper be grouped with her friend?
A:Parents may request that their camper be in the same group as a friends or family member during the online registration process. While we do our best to meet as many of these requests as possible. *If there are special circumstances that require your camper to be grouped with someone >2 years apart in age from them, please reach out to our Camp Director via email at acota@aolp.org to let us know the situation.

Q:When does registration open?
A:Registration for Pilot Summer Academy begins on February 5, 2024. It will close the Friday before each session begins to provide time for all groups to be assembled. Please review our refund policy.
