Q:Are their lifeguards at the pools during swim time?
A:Yes - Sunny Dayz only visits Township pools, and those facilities are always fully staff during those times.

    Q:Swim Testing
A:Sunny Dayz Camp does require all campers to pass a swim test on their first day of camp each summer, regardless of ability. Campers that pass their swim test may access all portions of the pool facility. Campers that do not pass will be given a wristband to signify to Camp Staff that they did not pass their swim test. Campers that do not pass their swim test will only be allowed in the shallow end of the pool (No slides or lazy rivers).

    Swim Test Requirements:
  • Campers must be able to swim the length of the lap lane (25 Meters) without holding onto the wall, standing up, or getting assistance from a counselor.

  • Q:Does my camper have to go to the pool if they aren't swimming?
A:Yes - All campers must go to the pool with their group. If they wish not to swim, they can sit out with a counselor. Campers may bring a book to read while sitting out if they would like.

Q:Can my child wear a lifejacket in the pool?
A:Yes - Campers may wear lifejackets in the pool. However, campers wearing lifejackets will by given a wristband and will only be allowed in the shallow end of the pool. Wearing a lifejacket DOES NOT give them access to the deep end, lazy rivers or slides.

Q:Can my camper be in the same group as their siblings or friends
A:Campers are divided into age groups to promote age appropriate activities and allow campers to be around children their own age. These age groups will each day divide into smaller groups for activity rotations. If your camper has siblings or friends within their age group at camp they will be able to join the same small group. Campers in separate age groups will not be able to be together for all activities throughout the day. There are times each day where age groups are combined.
