Junior Staff (formerly Student Kitchen Help)
Application for Junior Staff for High School Campers (Grades 9 to just graduated) to up to 80% ($280) of their camper fees by serving for a session of camp in the kitchen doing dishes, assisting with general camp clean up, assisting with canteen, assisting with recreational programs, and assisting with DIscovery Camp (weekly elementary day camp). This is done a different week than the camper attends. The campers will arrive around the check in time of the camp they are serving. They will be done around 6pm of the closing day. The Junior Staff will work along side LSCA's full time summer staff. This will give them great insight into what summer staff looks like AND they will get to try different aspects of camp: Kitchen, Program, and Discovery Camp. The junior staff would stay in the dorm with the campers. They will be direct supervision most of the time, with limited but available free time. They will work with some cleaning chemicals that we use at the camp. They would never be in a supervisory role over campers. They will rotate through the different areas of camp and help clean everything at the end of the session.
