Medical Information
Medical information must be provided for your child to attend camp. It is essential for the camp to have your child's current health information to ensure the safety and well-being of campers during their time at camp.
Transportation (Overnight Camps)
All transportation to Roots and Pathways camps, excluding ferry fare, is included in the camper fee. The YES provides bus transportation to and from the Cowichan Lake Education Centre from the following locations: Kelowna, Merritt, Abbotsford, Vancouver, Horseshoe Bay and Nanaimo. This bus is a chartered school bus supervised by YES Staff members. Participants coming from the mainland must bring $35.00 to cover the return ferry journey. Alternatively, parents are welcome to drop off or pick up participants at designated times on arrival and departure days. Please make sure you fill out this information carefully. Any changes should be made two weeks ahead of the camp dates in order to ensure that we have enough space on buses for everyone. Before you make your choice, please be aware that if you are dropping off participants at the site they cannot arrive before 6:45 pm on the first day of camp, and need to be picked up by 8:45 am on the last day of camp. These late arrival and early departure times are necessary to ensure that we can get participants to and from camp from all over the province. If you are requesting to have a participant picked up or dropped off the Nanaimo airport please speak to our camp director before confirming your flights to ensure we are able to accommodate your request. Thank you!
