Working with our Medical Advisory Committee (MAC) and the American Camp Association Field Guide, we will pilot a day camp for children and teens age 5-17 with a medical need, and their siblings. NEW: open to children of healthcare staff in our community!
Traditional CHT activities will be adapted for safety, and include arts & crafts, swimming, horses, zip line and more.
Day camp runs from 8AM - 5PM, Monday - Friday. One week of day camp has a $200 fee with discounts for multiple weeks and multiple campers from the same family.
Based upon the recommendations of our Medical Advisory Committee, the following diagnoses will be excluded from participation in Day Camp:
- Anyone with symptoms of possible active COVID-19 infection or other potentially infectious disease.
- Cancer, if actively undergoing treatment
- Any condition with baseline low oxygen levels (hypoxia)
- Transplant patients
- Families can make individual participation decisions with their Primary Care Physician about immunodeficiency and asthma diagnoses.
All participants for in-person camps will be subject to screening and testing prior to camp. We continue to monitor local, state, and federal guidelines. All COVID-19 regulations are subject to change as the situation evolves.
