ADVANCE ROBOTICS & WORLD EXPLORATION CAMP

Advance Robotics:

Take robotics to the next level in this exciting 5-day advanced camp. Students will explore how real-world robots are designed, built, and programmed while working with advanced robotics systems.
What students will do:
- Build and program advanced robot models such as robotic arms, carrier robots, and detection systems
- Explore key robot types including AGVs (autonomous guided vehicles), manipulation robots, and surveying or detection robots
- Learn how robots are used in real-world industries like logistics, manufacturing, and smart environments
- Develop algorithms and write code to control robot behavior and decision-making

Concepts they will explore:
Parts of a robot including sensors, motors, controllers, and mechanical systems
How robots sense, process information, and act on their environment
Applications of robotics in modern technology and industry
Foundations of coding and algorithmic thinking

Skills they will develop:
Critical Thinking by designing and improving robotic systems
Problem Solving through real-world engineering challenges
Debugging by identifying issues in both hardware and code
Analytical Thinking by testing, refining, and optimizing performance
Documentation by explaining their design process and results
This camp is ideal for students ready to dive deeper into robotics, engineering, and coding while building systems that reflect how robots are used in the real world.

Tablets/iPads will be required for all campers to bring for the robotics camp for the following purposes:

1) Following build instructions from their E-manual (this will also be projected into the class TV for all students to see)

2) Blocking coding to program their robots/builds

3) Virtual joysticks to control their robot/builds

If you aren't able to provide a device, just inform us in advance, one will be provided by ICC on a sharing basis.


World Exploration Camp:

Discover how the world came to be through an exciting journey into geography, cultures, languages, cuisines, and landscapes from around the globe. Students will explore continents, countries, maps, landforms, climates, and time zones while learning how geography shapes history, food, traditions, and daily life. The 5-day camp concludes with a creative “World Wrap” project, featuring one ingredient from every continent, along with mini adventures and activities that spark curiosity about people, places, and our interconnected world.
