ICC MAIN CENTER SUMMER CAMPS 2026 - Lego Robotics, Art & Sports Camp
Description
LEGO ROBOTICS, SPORTS & ART CAMP
Move, Create & Play: Active Fun Meets Creative Expression

Lego Robotics:
LEGO Robotics | (Ages 5–7)

In this engaging 5-day camp, students will explore robotics, nature, and engineering through hands-on LEGO building and block-based coding. Campers will learn how sensors and motors help robots interact with the world, and how these ideas are inspired by animals and nature.

What campers will do:
Build models of animals, environments, and machines using LEGO
Learn how sensors detect things like movement, light, and distance
Use block coding to control their builds and create interactive behaviors
Explore how real-world technology is inspired by nature and living systems

Skills they will develop:
Critical Thinking by experimenting with different solutions
Observation by analyzing how sensors and motors affect behavior
Inference by predicting how their code and builds will perform
Debugging by testing and improving their programs and models
Creativity by designing unique and meaningful builds
This camp is ideal for curious learners who enjoy building, coding, and discovering how the natural world inspires modern technology.

Tablets/iPads will be required for all campers to bring for the robotics camp for the following purposes:

1) Following build instructions from their E-manual (this will also be projected into the class TV for all students to see)

2) Blocking coding to program their robots/builds

3) Virtual joysticks to control their robot/builds

If you aren't able to provide a device, just inform us in advance, one will be provided by ICC on a sharing basis.

Sports:
Children will enjoy an active mix of soccer, basketball, athletics, stretching, and warm-up exercises. Fun, game-based activities help develop balance, coordination, focus, and confidence in a playful, age-appropriate way.

Art:
Creative sessions introduce innovative art techniques inspired by classic styles, presented with a fresh and exciting twist. Kids explore colors, textures, and hands-on projects that encourage imagination and self-expression.

Camp Requirements:
Please apply sunscreen and send your child with a cap for sun protection, as there may be outdoor play (Weather Permitting). Children should carry a water bottle labeled with their first and last name, and wear appropriate shoes and comfortable clothing that may get a little messy during both sports and art activities.
