Prescott Teens: Session 3 Teen Musical Theatre Intensive

Description: Calling all Prescott Teens! At our Teen Musical Theatre Intensive, campers will learn an entire musical in one week, with masterclasses taught by professional musical theatre performers and directors. This is an ideal camp for any teen who is looking to bolster their skills in dancing, singing, acting, and performing musical theatre. This camp will be fast-paced, but campers do not need to have prior experience in theatre to attend. Performances of Into the Woods Jr. will be on our Prescott Park Mainstage August 6th at 1pm and August 7th at 1pm.

Show Synopsis: Be careful what you wish for, as Stephen Sondheim’s and James Lapine’s cockeyed fairytale comes to life in this adaptation of their groundbreaking, Tony Award-winning musical. Into the Woods JR. features all of your favorite characters — Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk) and the Witch — in this lyrically rich retelling of classic Brothers Grimm fables. After registering, please submit a video audition consisting of singing a 32 bar cut from a musical, and a one minute monologue of any style. Videos must be sent to camp@prescottpark.org. Audition videos for this musical theatre intensive will be due by July 3, 2022. Once the cast list is sent out by e-mail, scripts will be available for pick-up and we ask campers to arrive with their lines memorized.
