Description
Administrative Standards include policies and procedures that are typically developed and distributed by key administrative staff. Topics will include transportation, risk management, emergency procedures, and policies related to camp staff and program areas.

Standards School is a new opportunity for ACA Illinois camp pros to get more personal attention in the process of preparing for or maintaining their camps' Accreditation. Each month, we will dive deep into a section of the Accreditation Process Guide and work through questions you have. This workshop will give you space to really explore and understand the standards, apply them to your camp, and help you fine tune your policies and procedures all with insight from peers, instructors, and staff! We will also help you find resources within ACA's website, show you how to get templates for written documentation, have an open discussion, and help you learn ways to get organized!

Standards School meetings have two options for participants; choose to either attend an in person event in our ACA Illinois Office or meet with us virtually. Standards School will be typically be about 3 hours, with instructors available after the workshop for extra help.

Finally, attendees of any Standards School meeting will need to have taken the Accreditation Process Workshop or a Basic Standards Course and have an Accreditation Process Guide (APG) either the 2012 version or the 2019 version will work for use during the class.
