Indeed! Boats open up the magical world of water! Worlds of clear cold depths where mysterious creatures lurk, hidden logs with basking turtles, little green herons stalking fish as you glide by... worlds of wide open skies above and expanses of rippling waves...

Canoe Explorers offers teens an easy-going introduction to the skills and beauties of flat-water paddling. Skills covered: handling canoes and paddles including loading and unloading boats, paddling safety, basic paddle strokes and how to work with a paddle partner to get the canoe where you want to go. We'll be doing this in local lakes, inlets, reservoirs and ponds.

Thank you to Cornell Outdoor Education and the Ithaca Youth Bureau Outing program for donating their canoes to make this camp happen!

Please note that this camp will meet at Cornell Cooperative Extension and travel to areas around Ithaca. This Camp Runs Tuesday-Friday!
