Academy Summer Youth Guard
Description
The Academy is excited to offer this great program designed for elementary and middle school students, ages 5-14. This activity is a great way to prepare students for high school guard programs or marching bands by introducing such elements as marching and drill. In addition, students will learn basic color guard skills and how to perform them!

The Academy Summer Youth Guard (ASYG) program runs in June on Mondays and Thursdays from 4:00 - 6:30 PM. We plan to perform at our home show, Drum Corps International's Drums Across the Desert at Mesa Community College on Monday, July 3.

Membership fees will be $200 and will cover the 2023 costume, show shirt, instruction, and equipment rental. Members will have access to the show to watch the other performances for free.

Rehearsal dates: Mondays and Thursdays in June from 4:00 - 6:30 PM

First meeting/Open House/Equipment Check Out/Practice will be held Monday, June 5, 2023. Please note that this will be a full rehearsal that will span the entire scheduled time. All rehearsal etiquette, safety protocols, and parent information can be gathered on this day. This meeting is MANDATORY, and one parent/guardian must be in attendance. Thanks so much!
