2026 - MDA Mentorship Program
Description
For youth and young adults ages 14-22, this 4-week virtual session will connect participants with mentors matched to their career interests. Mentors will share insights, guidance, and encouragement in an inclusive, accessible setting.

Participants will:

  • Participate in small group sessions matched to their career interests.
  • Complete a hands-on project with mentor support to apply new skills in a real-world way.
  • Hear from professionals, including those living with neuromuscular disease, about career readiness topics, including identifying strengths, workplace accommodations, networking, and applying for jobs.
  • Build connections with peers and mentors who understand the realities of living with neuromuscular disease.


Requirements:
  • Complete a brief online application.
  • Have access to a computer and Internet.*
  • Be able to attend and participate in virtual sessions each Tuesday and Thursday throughout February 2026 at 7pm Eastern/4pm Pacific.

    It is encouraged to complete the application in one sitting. MDA must receive your completed registration form no later than the deadline stated for the program in order to be accepted.
