Spring Mechanics: Brakes

April 22nd, 2026 4:30-6:00 at the Norte Wheelhouse

From disc brakes to cantilevers we’ll cover adjustment and servicing of all the common types of braking systems. Stopping rubbing, replacing pads, improving power and more.

This class is targeted towards kids 1st grade through high school but adults are welcome as well. Guardians who wish to attend with their child are required to register as well. Participants are encouraged to bring their own bike to work on but if that’s not possible we can provide a bike to practice on. You will be getting your hands dirty so wear clothing that you don’t mind getting greasy, aprons and gloves will be provided but don’t always cover everything.
