Animal Robotics & Superpower Science - Session 3
Description
During week one, campers create their own animal-inspired robotic models, where they learn about pulley wheels, gear ratio, tilt and motion sensors, combining simple machines, and basic programming. On the companion application connected via Bluetooth, students then use picture-block coding to bring their animals to life! In the second week, children learn about the science behind their favorite superheroes' powers. Using loose LEGO® bricks and base plates in combination with camp games and activities, children explore forces such as lift, thrust, drag, friction, and the aerodynamics of motion. Whether building the ultimate headquarters, creating clever traps, or designing mutant monsters, students will have a blast as they explore the tricks and ploys of super villains, how superheroes defy physics, and what makes superhero vehicles go SO fast!
