Robotics Extravaganza - Session 1
Description
In this camp, children will build a variety of LEGO® Spike Prime robotic creatures that respond to each of their programmed commands. Working with partners, students will learn how to use motion and color sensors, how components such as gears create and change the direction of movement, and how to program software for their robot creations! Connected via Bluetooth and the companion application, participants expand their coding knowledge using word-block coding. In week two, students build and program robots to compete in sports-themed challenges! Working in groups, teams use the LEGO® SPIKE Prime technology to complete exciting STEM challenges. Students will expand their engineering skills by designing and experimenting with robotic sensors/attachments and refine their computer programming abilities. With the companion application and word-block coding, builders will create program codes that make their bots run races, play hockey, and so much more!
