Co-Ed going into 2nd through 8th grades. Youth campers live in a community-based environment designed to encourage teamwork, develop new friendships and experience personal growth. Youth campers are divided into cabins and placed into one of three units based on grades to best facilitate age-appropriate camping experiences.
Campers enjoy the river and ocean, art palace, archery range, hiking, group games and campfire. As a child advances through each unit, new opportunities, new activities and new privileges are added to make campers' experiences progressive and exciting each year. Camps are co-ed by unit, single gender by cabin and one week in length.
First Timers Camp
Co-Ed - going into 1st grade thru 4th. First Timers is a 3-day, 2-night experience designed for the first time camper to get the feel of all that camp has to offer without being away from home for a whole week. Our First Timers program is intentionally structured and offers campers some of the same activities that are offered to older campers but on a level that is better suited to their age and experience. If this is your child's first overnight camping experience, you can be confident that this will be a summer like no other - the first in a long line of fantastic summers at Camp Westwind.
Co-Ed - going into 1st grade through 5th grade. Not quite a full week but longer than First Timers, Mini Camp is just right for the younger but more independent campers. Three nights are spent at Camp Westwind playing in the sand, singing, hiking, doing archery, playing games, enjoying campfires while making life-long camp friends.
