Story & Studio
Description
Story & Studio is a weeklong creative camp where middle school students explore the amazing intersections of art, literature, and hands-on creativity. Each day, campers dive into a major art movement—Impressionism, Harlem Renaissance, Pop Art, and more—and discover the stories, poems, and voices that shaped those eras. Grounded in engaging, short literature, students step directly into the creative worlds they study and experiment with projects inspired by each movement: painting, sketching, sculpting, collage, found poetry, songwriting, and other inventive forms that help them understand art from the inside out. At its heart, Story & Studio is about authentic, meaningful, off-screen experiences. Campers spend their time with hands-on artistic work, exploring their own identities as artists and readers, and discovering how people throughout history have expressed themselves through art and storytelling.
