Mammal Investigations
Description
Saint Mary’s Hall is a haven for regional mammal friends. It’s not uncommon to spot a fox, opossum or raccoon in the early morning hours on campus, reminding us just how connected we are to the wildlife around us. Join us for an exciting week as we get to know five local mammals (coyote, fox, raccoon, opossum, and skunk) through hands-on materials from the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department, stories, games, art projects, and myth-busting fun. Through engaging activities, campers will develop a sense of environmental stewardship as they discover the vital roles these animals play in our ecosystem. We’ll finish the week by creating take-home track molds of our mammal friends.
