Chefs in Training - Easy Italian
Description
What child doesn’t love pasta? Join Suzy Brooks and learn the "art of cooking" with easy Italian shortcuts that are quick and fun for budding chefs. Campers will chop and prep ingredients and help make simple, homemade sauces to add to shortcut staples like pre-made ravioli and ingredients for dishes with complex flavor but simple preparation. Pizza, Italian herbed rolls, a shortcut lasagna fit to serve company, and fresh Alfredo sauce are among the dishes on the menu. Children will make individual portions of most recipes and try appetizers, side dishes, and entrees. Kitchen safety and cleanliness will be taught as campers prepare and eat the food that only they have touched. Items are labeled on baking sheets and all servingware is disposable. Even though the students love cooking, their favorite part of this camp is always eating the dishes they create!
