AP History Summer Boot Camp (SMH STUDENTS ONLY)
Description
Form 10 AP Teacher, Dr. Pozza, is offering an AP boot camp for rising Form 10 & 11 students who are considering entering an AP history course. The camp prepares students for their first exposure to AP level coursework and gives them a head start on learning the skills required for AP US History. The camp is a workshop that focuses on both strategy and content. Over three days (mornings only), students will:
Learn strategies for tackling the advanced writing portions of the AP test to include the Document Based Question (DBQ), Long Essay Question (LEQ), and Short Answer Questions (SAQs)
Receive exposure to the types of questions asked on the AP Exam, Learn test-taking strategies, Learn the major themes and geographic regions in the AP history courses, Understand the timeline of the AP history courses, Analyze writing samples from actual previous AP tests and understand the AP scoring criteria.
