Miniature Battles-B Troop Ain't Coming Back
Description
Miniature Battle camps are for people interested in history, strategy, math and games. Students will receive and paint miniatures that relate to each camp for which they are a participant. In these camps, students experience an interactive appreciation of history from a completely different perspective. Various periods of military history from 1500 B.C. to 1945 A.D. are explored using hands-on experience in class. Instructors explore events leading up to the conflicts of our past and our students learn how tactics changed throughout history to adjust to new science and technology. History is experienced by re-recreating battles on a tabletop with miniature warriors which students paint to represent the uniforms of the period. Through this process, students learn tactics, strategy, and problem-solving skills, develop better math skills, team development, and much more. Some classes require painting miniatures, and after the last day of class, the students take home their miniatures.
B Troop Ain’t Coming Back- Pony Wars B Troop Ain't Coming Back is a tabletop wargame celebrating the Hollywood stereotypical big screen Western Movies of the 1950s and 1960s. Students will receive a 10mm troop of U.S. Cavalry that they will paint. Then will play in a tabletop wargame using the rules, Pony Wars. Students will assume the command of a U.S. Cavalry Troop and try to secure the stagecoach, protect the wagon train, escort the settlers back to the fort and to keep the mountain passes open, in typical Hollywood fashion.
