Writing Across San Antonio
Description
Writers get inspiration from the places they visit, the people they meet, and the sights they see. This summer students will get inspiration for writing as they travel around San Antonio. Visit the Botanical Gardens and fill your writer's notebook with descriptions of the lush vegetation, tranquil walkways, and observations of nature. Take a hike through Phil Hardberger Park and stop along the way to write about the flora and fauna of this beautiful nature conservatory. Day 3 will find you at The McNay Museum, and whether you find inspiration to write about a painting or the beautiful grounds, you will continue to fill your notebook of ideas. Day 4 will find us exploring the historical grounds of Mission San Jose as we immerse ourselves in the culture and history of San Antonio which offers countless opportunities for observation and reflection. Last, but not least, in this week of experiential writing, we will write among the animals at the San Antonio Zoo. Remember, writers stop and notice what others pass on by.
