Hive Flyers: June 24-28:Our Earth Rocks/Minecraft
Description
Is your child making the transition to first and second grade and feeling not quite ready for our second through sixth grade camp group? Build Your Hive is for you! This program offers two morning classes with a recess or movement break between them. The morning classes provide a preview of the structure found in our second through sixth grade group, known as Create Your Summer. In the afternoon, your child can enjoy more traditional summer camp activities, including swimming, special enrichment classes, and sports.
Class Rotations
Our Earth Rocks
Planet earth is pretty cool, and this class will teach us all about the layers of earth including awesome rocks and gems. We will investigate different elements of the earth, dig in the dirt, and even discover some fossils of prehistoric creatures. This program will include some “rock-tastic” science projects!

Minecraft
Does your child love to build? How about in the virtual world? This intro to Minecraft will have your kids ready to take on creepers while building mighty fortresses. Children will work on iPads to get used to the program and may spend some time in our Middle School computer lab.
