3D Printing
This class is a combination of Engineering and 3D printing where campers will make real working tools, toys, and gadgets. They will learn how to design 3D objects with software and try to build gizmos and gadgets (via 3d printing) using the same engineering process that professionals use to create all the products you use today. This program teaches students many useful problem-solving techniques, develops their knowledge of math & science, and many other critical skills, all in one fun class. Black Rocket- ESports Apprentice- Streamers and Gamers
Whether you want to be the next pro gamer, streamer, or gamecaster this course will teach you the basics to get
started! No longer just a hobby, esports is the fastest-growing career for the next generation. Over 400 million
people watched YouTube videos and Twitch streams of video game competitions this year alone! In this course,
students will develop game-play skills and compete using Black Rocket’s Esports games and apps, learn how to
produce commentary for live tournaments, use professional streaming software, and most importantly practice
online safety. Student recordings will be available on a password-protected website to share with friends and
family. Videos will not be broadcast publicly but will be shared with all students in the class. Students will work in

Black Rocket- Video Game Animation
Bring your animations to life with design tools used by real game developers! Create sophisticated sprite
animations using simple-to-learn techniques that you can use in any 2D editor. Squash, stretch, and shade your
creations to make your characters pop! Students do not need any prior experience in game design, animation, or
sketching. Student-created games will be available on a password-protected Black Rocket website to share with

Bridges and Towers
This program will allow campers to express their creativity and satisfy their desire to build and experiment. Students will learn the basics of architecture as they experience the joy of building and testing their very own bridges and towers! We will use a variety of materials such as paper, bass and balsa wood. No prior experience is necessary, as we will guide them from start to finish. Campers will learn the building and designing process, and apply it to create bridges/towers. Chess
Introduction to the moves and rules of this intellectual sport with emphasis on problem solving, anticipating consequences and planning ahead, good sportsmanship, and learning from mistakes. Students will practice checkmates and tactics like pins, forks, discovered check, x-ray attacks on worksheets. Playing games with supervision, students will learn how to: open a chess game properly; apply middle game principles; practice basic endgames and checkmates; play comfortably with tournament rules and protocol; win graciously and learn from losses. Clay Oven Cooking
Learn how to bake bread, make pizza and roast vegetables in the PDS Clay oven. This beautiful oven was built by campers 6 years ago and has been making delicious food ever since. Using the freshest, most local ingredients, campers will bake daily, starting the day by lighting and tending the fire in the oven. This will be followed by preparing loaves of bread and ingredients for pizzas, and harvesting fresh vegetables from the garden for roasting. Recipes and food will be shared. Crafting Craze
This week will involve running around and creating natural and ‘traditional’ crafts using collected material like sticks, leaves, rocks, and of course mud! We will create many natural crafts using material the campers gather themselves. Crafts may include sun dried handmade paper and candles. Drobots- Lego Stem Avengers
Explore all the caped crusaders and discover their super powers in this action packed LEGO® camp. Fishing
Learn everything you need to know about the basics of fishing. Campers are introduced to various fishing terminology and techniques, where and when to fish, how to choose a rod and reel, baits, tying knots, lures, hooks and other fishing tackle. Ice Skating
Princeton Day School Summer Programs has once again teamed up with Learn to Skate USA to offer skill levels 1-8. Six progressive levels introduce forward and backward skating, stops, edges, crossovers, and turns. Upon completion of the Skills 1-6 levels, skaters will be able to confidently advance to more specialized areas of skating. All classes will be well-structured with the focus on proper skill development, taught in a positive, fun and social environment. Skaters will progress at their own rate and advance after skill mastery is demonstrated. Basic 1 and 2: These introductory levels allow new skaters with no prior skating experience to build confidence while learning the fundamentals. Basic 3–6: These levels develop all of the fundamental skating skills on the ice. Focus is on learning the ABCs of basic athleticism: agility, balance, coordination and speed. For Campers Born Between 2010-2016. Join us as we host our first of three youth day camps at Princeton Day School. Camp will take place at Baker Turf field and players will have access to world class facilities while on campus throughout the week. Our goal is for your player to experience a fun-filled day camp led by our Technical Director and Princeton Day School boys varsity coach, Brian Thomsen, members of his PDS coaching staff, members of the NLSA coaching staff, and players from PDS. We look to provide a fun, exciting, camp curriculum so that your player grows their love of the game. Ropes Course- Student Facilitator
This unique camp is for the experienced climber. It is an opportunity for them to further extend their adventure experience. They will have the chance to learn all the skills necessary to facilitate ropes course content. These include: belay skills, knots, set up and take down procedures, and work to lead low challenge course initiatives. They will work with experienced staff members who will help them hone the skills that are necessary to work in this environment.

SSAT Prep- Math
This class familiarizes students with the SSAT, the test used by most independent and boarding schools as part of the admissions process (along with GPA, transcript, recommendations, etc.). Students will learn test-taking strategies and review the Quantitative, Verbal and Reading sections of the SSAT. Participants will take practice SSAT tests and receive feedback on ways to improve their score. Included in the course is the development of an individual study plan that will outline a study routine as one prepares for the SSAT.
