Upper School Theater
Description
Camp Director: Juliette Trafton

Does your rising 8th–12th grade student love to be on stage? Does your child relish any opportunity to make friends laugh? Does your budding performer want to overcome performance nerves and stage fright? Does he or she feel drawn to stories and have a great sense of empathy for the characters in them? Does your child wonder if he or she has what it takes to become a professional actor? Then theater camp is for your budding performer!

Each day, campers will develop their skills through games, acting exercises, and performance opportunities in this fast-paced, judgement-free camp led by TGS parent and professional NYC actor Juliette Trafton. Additionally, campers will learn important tips on how to analyze a script and use physicalization to sharpen their performances on stage. They will develop a deep camaraderie and respect for each other by supporting one another as they try new and hard things to grow in their craft. From improv games, memorization boosters, bodywork, and live performance, campers will expand their gifts as storytellers and communicate powerful messages through entertaining others!

Drawing from years of experience on Broadway/offbroadway/television, it is Juliette's passion to draw out these young storytellers, helping them find their voices to respond to their calling to point to the greatest story ever told, the gospel. Learn more about Juliette at living-letters.com.
