Nature Dream Teams
Description
How does nature use team work to make the dream work? What can we learn from creatures in the wild who work together? In this class, we will learn about the concept of symbiotic mutualism--the phenomenon of plants and animals who work together, playing to their unique strengths, for mutual benefit. From the clownfish and the anemone to the Remora fish and the shark, students will learn to identify teams of animal friends and their unique reciprocal relationships. We will reflect on the ways in which our own friendships and relationships also include examples of mutualism, as we learn to value playing to our strengths and helping each other, using team work to make the dream work.
