Summer time means a bounty of fresh fruit and vegetables in Portland! During this week, students will visit a farm on Sauvie Island to learn more about agriculture and meet the farmers. We’ll learn about the benefits of eating seasonally, as well as harvest a bounty of fruit to take back to OES with us. We will also explore OES' campus to harvest the fruit that grows abundantly all around us. While creating delicious jams, deserts, and savory snacks, students will gain many different kitchen and baking skills. We'll learn how to follow a recipe as well as how to experiment and be creative. Students will be bringing home plenty of treats!
