Kids Company: Mystery Trackers: The Musical
Description

Image1

In Kids Company, students will learn theatre vocabulary and build foundational skills in the actor’s toolbox of body, voice, and imagination. Emphasis is placed on working as a team, developing expressive communication skills, and learning how to commit to imagined circumstances. The class will culminate in a full-scale musical production with a professional set, costumes, and lighting designed and produced by local professionals. During rehearsal, students will rehearse their parts and receive individual coaching, play ensemble games to build their teamwork as a class, and develop their expressive theatre skills through drama games and exercises. In addition, through participating in musical theatre processes, students will further develop their “triple threat” skills of singing, acting, and dancing. The show will be directed by our Education and Engagement Manager, Jacqueline Komos.

Audition Date:
Saturday, June 1st
10am-2pm

Anyone ages 8-11 may register for this camp, but registered students must complete an audition. All registered campers will perform in our Junior Artists Production. The audition will help the directors to assign specific roles.

Prior to the audition date, students will receive a short cut of a song from the show that they should be prepared to sing independently at the audition. In addition, students will be reading from the script to demonstrate their acting abilities. More information will be sent to all registered students closer to audition date.

Please contact Jacqueline Komos, Education and Engagement Manager, at with any questions about auditions.

Ticket Information
All students receive four complimentary tickets for the weekend run. Comp tickets will be available 2 weeks prior to performance dates. To set up comp tickets, you will need to call the box office at 615-252-4675, let them know which student you are connected to, and how many comps you would like to use for which performance. You can split the comps over the weekend, however, there are four comps total for each student. If you have siblings in the show, both of those students receive four comps. Additional tickets will be available to purchase at $15 per ticket.
We are performing in the Copeland Rehearsal Hall, so there are less seats than our main auditorium – PLEASE invite all of the folks you know to the show – we’d love for them to see their work – but make sure they reserve tickets early!

Show Description:
This summer, Kids Company presents another World Premiere musical! From the Writer/Composer of last summer’s Willow Wood comes this years Kids Company production of Mystery Trackers: The Musical!

Inspired by NCT’s long running virtual class, Mystery Trackers: The Musical follows an elite squad of detectives who are training their newest recruit, Rory. The rookie agent has barely been initiated when the Mystery Trackers are called from headquarters to investigate an art heist that seems to be the work of the notorious villain, Sasha Walters, and her siblings. Will Rory have a successful first case as a Mystery Tracker? Will the agents finally catch the villains they have been tracking for years? Will the artwork be found intact? Will someone we think we know turn out to be a dreaded double agent? Find out this summer in Mystery Trackers: The Musical!

Join us for a production and not only fill three weeks of your summer puzzle, but also save on summer! Our productions run the course of three weeks, which comes to $265 per week. That is $70 off per week of our typical summer camps! This price includes free extended care.

NCT offers free extended care for our families. Before Care opens at 7:30 am and After Care closes at 5:30 pm. You can add this service during registration or on a day-to-day basis during the camp week. Extended care consists of supervised unstructured free time. Students are welcome to bring a book or electronic device (that NCT is not responsible for). Additionally, NCT provides coloring sheets, board games, marble towers, etc. for students who are interested. Also, during after care, we will also have a daily option of a G or PG-rated children’s movie playing as an activity choice.
