Lower School Chorus
Description
Lower School Chorus is back for the fall!

Rehearsals will run Wednesdays at 3:15–4:00pm from October 28 through December 16 in the Lower School Music Room. We will study vocal health, music theory, and build a repertoire with various cultural influences to prepare for our performance at the Winter Concert on December 18. Chorus offers a fun and nurturing environment where students can gain confidence working as a team while exploring their individual musical talents.

Chorus Expectations and Agreements
Attendance and Commitment

Rehearsal Commitment: Because of our shorter season this year, please only commit if your child is prepared to attend every session to make sure we are fully prepared for our performance. Any planned absences should be discussed with Ms. Elizabeth in advance.

Winter Concert Performance: Mark your calendars for our Winter Concert on December 18! Attendance at the concert is mandatory for all choristers.

Active Participation

Engagement in rehearsals helps students improve and supports the overall success of the choir. Students should come prepared to actively sing, follow cues, take notes or short music theory pop quizzes both written and sung, and contribute to the group effort.

Respect for Others

A positive, respectful environment fosters better teamwork. Students should listen to and support their peers, avoid disruptive behavior, and show respect to fellow choristers.

Preparation and Practice

Audio tracks and sheet music will be provided to each chorister through Google Classroom. Students should regularly practice parts at home to be prepared for group rehearsals.
