A Little Bit of Lit I Literature doesn’t just live in a book. It unfolds in myths and poems, in brushstrokes and on screens, carrying timeless stories into new forms. Uncover how stories travel across cultures and centuries—shaping heroes, monsters, and meaning. Designed to spark new ways of seeing the world through a literary lens you’ll connect ancient myths to modern movies, pair art with poetry, and create your own original myth-inspired work along the way. In this class, students will explore how classic tales and legendary characters have inspired generations of writers, artists, and filmmakers.
Through hands-on activities, creative projects, and thoughtful discussions, students will:
Discover how myths and stories from different cultures connect across time and place.
Examine how heroes, villains, and themes evolve from ancient legends to today’s popular media.
Pair classic literature with visual art, film, and even modern storytelling platforms.
Create their own original, myth-inspired piece—whether it’s a short story, poem, or artwork.
Designed to inspire imagination and critical thinking, this course helps students see literature as a living art form—one that continues to grow, adapt, and influence the stories we tell today. | |
