Practice and Games Information
- Basketball practices will begin the week of December 2 and run through the week of March 10, or until the completion of the season's game schedule.
- Games will take place weeknights or weekends depending on a finalized schedule to be determined by the league. Practices and games take place across campuses. Families are responsible for arranging transportation to and from games and practices.
- Student-athletes may be dropped off for practices beforehand at either location and join aftercare. Student-athletes may stay in aftercare until the start of their practice.
- Student-athletes will also be required to arrive in proper athletic attire, shorts or athletic pants and sneakers with their own water bottles.

LEAGUE GAMES
Games will begin in January once we receive the final game schedule, which will be sent to families as soon as possible. When the season starts, each student will receive a uniform to be worn for every game. Students will also be required to arrive in proper athletic attire: shorts and sneakers. While there is a water fountain at the gym, we recommend students bring their own water bottles. There are no refunds for canceled practices or games. Every attempt to schedule make-up games and practices will be made within the logistical bounds of the season.
Stevens Cooperative School Registration Information (updated Oct. 23, 2024)
In preparation for the upcoming 2024-2025 interscholastic basketball season, we wanted to share with you as much detail as possible, knowing that some variables remain to be set. Below are some of our operating assumptions:
- Our goal is for any given team to have no fewer than eight and no more than 15 student-athletes. We anticipate fielding between five to seven teams across the middle school, organized by gender identity and grade-level bands. The class sizes and overall interest will determine the final composition of the teams.
- We have provided an practice schedule outline on the following page based on a projection of five teams. This is meant to provide families with an idea of the time, scheduling and logistical commitments required to participate. The final schedule will be determined by registration numbers and shared prior to Thanksgiving Break.
Registration will begin on Wednesday, November 6 at 8:00 p.m.
- You will either need to login to your existing UltraCamp account
- On the top left of your account page, click RESERVATION, then NEW RESERVATION. Choose the child(ren) you would like to register for, then select the team that matches their grade and gender identity.
- Complete all required forms and settle the $350.00 registration fee, which includes the cost of a uniform and assists in the salaries of the coaching staff.
- In the coming weeks, you will then need to register separately with the Hoboken Recreation Department here. Those instructions will be sent once they are shared with Stevens. There will be an additional fee at registration which is collected by the Hoboken Recreation Department, which covers their administrative costs.
- Final team rosters and schedules will be confirmed once registration closes. Please note that this deadline is set by Hoboken Recreation and beyond our control to extend or circumvent.
Hoboken Recreation Department Registration Information
- Register separately with the Hoboken Recreation Department HERE, beginning Friday, Nov. 1 at 12pm. Be sure to select STEVENS COOPERATIVE as the school and again, the league/division that matches your child(ren)’s grade and gender identity. There will be an additional fee at registration, which is collected by the Hoboken Recreation Department to cover their administrative costs.
- Final team rosters and schedules will be confirmed once registration closes Friday, Nov. 22 at 12pm. Please note that this deadline will be set by Hoboken Recreation and beyond our control to extend or circumvent.
DISMISSAL PROCEDURES:
Students are welcome to attend the afterschool program, either until practice starts or after practice ends until 6:00 pm when a parent or guardian must pick them up. Once practice is over, only middle school students who have parental consent to self-dismiss will be allowed to leave directly from practices. Families will be responsible for transportation to and from practices and games. If, however, a student needs to miss a practice or game, families must communicate the absence to either their coaches or our Athletic Director, Shanecka Frazier (shanecka.frazier@stevenscoop.org).
