Biology Club (Fall - Grades 3-5)
Description
Biology club is about helping students connect to the amazing world around them. Each week, students will use different media, crafts, and discussions to explore a variety of adaptations in both plants and animals. By using clips from BBC Earth, live plants and animals, as well as engaging projects, students will discuss a variety of topics ranging from life in the deepest parts of the ocean, to the highest mountain, to how some plants eat bugs. In doing so, students will explore individual species as well as the many biomes that our planet offers. While each week will focus on a certain biome, we will explore animals from all biomes each week as we explore adaptations.
