Experience the fun of building with LEGO bricks and elements to create your own designs; or, you can work with others using LEGO base plates, 1x2, 1x3, and 1x4 bricks as you discover the beauty of interlocking for strong "builds." Each day, a challenge will be presented: interlocking to make towers, then using windows & doors, adding LEGO elements such as fences, animals, and vegetation, and building with other unique pieces. We will also create pyramids and mosaics, and build vehicles and facades. Communication skills are enhanced as students describe their creations to others. Creativity will be encouraged, and participants will also work with counting and estimation. Throughout the week, builders also cooperate with one another in the challenging task of disassembling, sorting and returning LEGO elements to the correct bins. It will be an amazing week of fun and exciting builds!

Throughout the week, students will create robots that incorporate a variety of parts (such as a motor, tilt sensor, or motion sensor). To control their robots' movements, students will use a specially designed LEGO USB Hub programmed through computer software. To advance their skills, students are encouraged to design their own computer program to operate their robots.
