Gears 1 & 2

This program is for high school campers who want to get more involved in camp by giving back. Gears participants help to keep the dining hall running smoothly while having fun and working as a team. They may choose to complete other projects in order to leave a lasting impact on Namanu based on the needs of our facilities staff. Participants can expect to work hard and then have the opportunity to experience some of the fun things at Camp Namanu. Some campers spend time in the Gears Program before entering CIT program – however, participation in Gears does not guarantee placement as a CIT. We will offer a single week Gears option also, during Session 7. Please note that Gears, like CIT’s return home at the end of each session.
