Saturday Nature Squad: Pond Explorers

Registration Requirements: Preregistration required Registration Closes 9/9/2026 at 12 pm.

Ages of Children Served: This program is designed for ages 5 through 10 years. Children will be split into smaller, age-appropriate groups upon arrival.

Program Description: Get ready to dip nets, scoop water, and discover what’s living below the surface! This is a hands-on adventure where kids will search for tadpoles, insects, and other pond critters, observe their amazing adaptations up close, and learn how a pond habitat works—all while having a wildly fun morning outdoors.

Note: This is a drop-off program. Caregivers will drop off their child for this program. Children must be potty-trained.

Program participants meet at our Rowe Woods Visitor Center's Auditorium.

Cost: With Family Membership $25; without Family Membership or nonmember $33. Only members with Family Membership (or higher) receive a discount.
