Volunteer Session Description – Camp Spike N Wave

Camp Spike N Wave is a weeklong residential summer camp for children and teens ages 8–14 living with epilepsy. Held at the beautiful, fully accessible Camp For All in Burton, Texas, June 6-12th, 2026, this program provides campers with a safe, fun, and empowering environment to try new things, build confidence, and form lasting friendships.

Volunteers are the heart of Camp Spike N Wave. By giving your time, energy, and compassion, you directly help create a memorable and inclusive experience for every camper. Your support not only makes a meaningful impact in the epilepsy community, but also allows you to earn up to 167 service hours over the course of the week.

Volunteer Responsibilities Include:

* Providing daily camper care with patience, encouragement, and attentiveness.
* Supporting campers during activities such as swimming, archery, ropes courses, arts & crafts, and more.
* Assisting campers with personal needs, transitions, and maintaining a safe, inclusive environment.
* Working collaboratively with medical staff, counselors, and fellow volunteers to ensure camper well-being.
* Serving as a positive role model, demonstrating empathy, respect, and enthusiasm.
