sketching. Student-created games will be available on a password-protected Black Rocket website to share with

Black Rocket- Virtual Reality: The Future is Now
Embark on an EPIC adventure in virtual reality! In this cutting-edge class, learn the foundations of VR design by
creating your own virtual worlds, exploring simulated environments, crafting 3D experiences, and learning basic
programming concepts. At the end of the week, take home your first cardboard VR headset to show friends and
family the new worlds you created. VR projects can be viewed on a website or mobile device. Students do not
need a mobile device to take the class, but will need access to a mobile device at home. VR projects will be
available on a password-protected Black Rocket website to share with friends and family. Students will work in

Chess
Introduction to the moves and rules of this intellectual sport with emphasis on problem solving, anticipating consequences and planning ahead, good sportsmanship, and learning from mistakes. Students will practice checkmates and tactics like pins, forks, discovered check, x-ray attacks on worksheets. Playing games with supervision, students will learn how to: open a chess game properly; apply middle game principles; practice basic endgames and checkmates; play comfortably with tournament rules and protocol; win graciously and learn from losses. Code to Build
Embark on a coding adventure! This engaging camp introduces students to the exciting world of computer programming and hardware design through hands-on, interactive projects. Beginning with the fundamentals of coding, campers will learn to create games and various practical applications, building creativity, computational thinking, and collaboration skills. As they

Drobots - LEGO + KNEX Super Mario Brothers
The Super Mario Brothers are back at it again! Young Drobots engineers will join Mario, Luigi, Toadstool, and Yoshi “to build'' new levels during each camp day. Campers will use LEGO and K’nex motors to create moving obstacles for our (pesky) characters to avoid. Create and take tunnels to secret levels that only YOU know about and then challenge your friends to try to beat your Bowser maze. Everything Pokemon
Calling all Pokemon Trainers. Enter into the world of Pokemon for a week of exploring the world of Pokemon, while being active, learning all about Pokemon and making friends. The primary Pokemon game that will be used is Pokemon Go. Everyone is encouraged to have a cell phone with Pokemon Go loaded on the phone, but it is not required. Campers that do not have a cell phone with the game on it may use an iPad or share someone else’s device. Participants will be introduced to the game and more experienced players will have the opportunity to improve their level in the game and learn more advanced skills. Each day campers will walk with their Pokemon buddies all around campus and near campus to visit Poke stops and to raid Pokemon gyms. Campers will learn how to make Pokemon friends and how to trade. Fly Fishing
Take fishing to the next level. As with the fishing camp for younger campers this camp will introduce various fishing terminology and techniques, where and when to fish, how to choose a rod and reel, baits, tying knots, lures, hooks and other fishing tackle. In addition, this camp will take fishing to the next level with the introduction of fly fishing. A day will be spent introducing the art of fly casting and all that is a part of fly fishing. In this brand new program, we take your favorite recess and gym class games and blow them up to epic size! The students won't just be playing the games, they'll be game architects.
