This class is a combination of Engineering and 3D printing where campers will make real working tools, toys, and gadgets. They will learn how to design 3D objects with software and try to build gizmos and gadgets (via 3d printing) using the same engineering process that professionals use to create all the products you use today. This program teaches students many useful problem-solving techniques, develops their knowledge of math & science, and many other critical skills, all in one fun class. Our classic game design camp reimagined to include even more of what you love! Make your first video game in

Chess
Introduction to the moves and rules of this intellectual sport with emphasis on problem solving, anticipating consequences and planning ahead, good sportsmanship, and learning from mistakes. Students will practice checkmates and tactics like pins, forks, discovered check, x-ray attacks on worksheets. Playing games with supervision, students will learn how to: open a chess game properly; apply middle game principles; practice basic endgames and checkmates; play comfortably with tournament rules and protocol; win graciously and learn from losses. Code to Build
Embark on a coding adventure! This engaging camp introduces students to the exciting world of computer programming and hardware design through hands-on, interactive projects. Beginning with the fundamentals of coding, campers will learn to create games and various practical applications, building creativity, computational thinking, and collaboration skills. As they
progress, students will integrate software and hardware, programming devices equipped with LED displays, buttons, and sensors to react to different inputs and produce desired outputs. Crafting Craze
This week will involve running around and creating natural and ‘traditional’ crafts using collected material like sticks, leaves, rocks, and of course mud! We will create many natural crafts using material the campers gather themselves. Crafts may include sun dried handmade paper and candles. Drobots - LEGO + KNEX Castles and Creative Creatures
Castles and Creative Creatures invites young builders on an exciting journey back to the days of knights, queens, castles, and royal kingdoms! Using LEGOs and K'NEX, campers will construct towering castles, majestic keeps, and intricate bridges while learning about life in a medieval world. Along the way, they’ll design brave knights, fierce dragons, magical creatures to protect their kingdoms and engage in creative storytelling. Fly Fishing
Take fishing to the next level. As with the fishing camp for younger campers this camp will introduce various fishing terminology and techniques, where and when to fish, how to choose a rod and reel, baits, tying knots, lures, hooks and other fishing tackle. In addition, this camp will take fishing to the next level with the introduction of fly fishing. A day will be spent introducing the art of fly casting and all that is a part of fly fishing. Ice Skating
Ice Skating: Introductory and Advanced Princeton Day School Summer Program is once again offering both introductory and advanced ice skating classes. Introductory classes will include forward and backward skating, stops, edges, crossovers, and turns. Introductory levels will allow new skaters with no prior skating experience to build confidence while learning the fundamentals. Advanced skaters will be challenged with jumps, spins and choreography. All classes will be well-structured with the focus on proper skill development, taught in a positive, fun and social environment. We recommend that campers have their own skates, however, a limited $20.00 skate-leasing program for each session is available on a first-come basis payable on the first day of class. In this brand new program, we take your favorite recess and gym class games and blow them up to epic size! The students won't just be playing the games, they'll be game architects. While we'll start each day with a supersized version of classic sports like giant volleyball, or XL capture the flag, the real magic will happen in the design zone.
