3D Printing
This class is a combination of Engineering and 3D printing where campers will make real working tools, toys, and gadgets. They will learn how to design 3D objects with software and try to build gizmos and gadgets (via 3d printing) using the same engineering process that professionals use to create all the products you use today. This program teaches students many useful problem-solving techniques, develops their knowledge of math & science, and many other critical skills, all in one fun class. All materials included, campers will take home their creations. (Grade 2nd-5th)

Campers will explore their artistic side through a variety of projects and mediums! Budding artists will work with pencils, paints, and other materials to create projects big and small. They will create timeless pieces of art with traditional and modern techniques! (Grade 1st-4th)

Black Rocket- Lego Films and Stop Action
Make your LEGOs come to life! Bring in your favorite action figures or LEGOs and create a short film with your friends. Whether you want to recreate a scene from Star Wars or design a world of your own, this class brings your dreams to the screen. Students will need to bring in LEGOs and/or action figures from home, but all other equipment is provided. Student-created films will be available on a password-protected website to share with friends and family. Returning students can create more advanced projects that build on previous years. Students will work in pairs or teams for most of the program. (Grade 3rd-6th)

Black Rocket- Pokemon Masters: Design & 3D Makers Unite!
Calling all PokeMasters who want to be the designers of the future! Use your Pokemon imagination and bring your ideas to life. Begin by creating your own digital Pokemon-style custom-playing card game. Progress onto designing action figures, jewelry, and toys in professional-level modeling software. Learn how to prepare a model for 3D printing and create a design portfolio to showcase your work! No prior experience is necessary and 3D designs will be available on a password-protected Black Rocket website to share with friends and family. Chess
Introduction to the moves and rules of this intellectual sport with emphasis on problem solving, anticipating consequences and planning ahead, good sportsmanship, and learning from mistakes. Students will practice checkmates and tactics like pins, forks, discovered check, x-ray attacks on worksheets. Playing games with supervision, students will learn how to: open a chess game properly; apply middle game principles; practice basic endgames and checkmates; play comfortably with tournament rules and protocol; win graciously and learn from losses. Instructor will separate groups by skill allowing more advanced players to play against similar opponents. (Grade 1st-8th)

Clay Oven Cooking
Learn how to bake bread, make pizza and roast vegetables in the PDS Clay oven. This beautiful oven was built by campers 6 years ago and has been making delicious food ever since. Using the freshest, most local ingredients, campers will bake daily, starting the day by lighting and tending the fire in the oven. This will be followed by preparing loaves of bread and ingredients for pizzas, and harvesting fresh vegetables from the garden for roasting. Recipes and food will be shared. (Grade 3rd-6th)

Embark on a coding adventure! This engaging camp introduces students to the exciting world of computer programming and hardware design through hands-on, interactive projects. Campers, prepare to escape reality during this time-traveling Robotics and LEGO summer program! Design and guide your Robotic Dino-Cart throughout the Jurassic Map to find shelter. You better hurry, because the King-Rex is ready to track your group down and turn your hard earned Lizard Tokens into lunch! During this high-energy and adventurous program, participants will learn to code their robots to recreate the migration patterns of Dinosaurs. Groups of campers (junior Paleontologists) work together in small teams, and will build motorized pulley systems, bridges, and specialized tools to successfully navigate the prehistoric landscape! Harry Potter Camp
Welcome to Hogwarts, young wizards and witches! Our program begins with the Sorting Hat determining each camper’s house, be it Hufflepuff, Slytherin, Ravenclaw or Griffindor. From there, campers will be transported to the halls and classrooms of Hogwarts, learning herbology, fantastical beasts & mythical creatures, playing a round of quiddich and participating in the Tri-Wizard tournament itself. Ice Skating
Ice Skating: Introductory and Advanced Princeton Day School Summer Program is once again offering both introductory and advanced ice skating classes. Introductory classes will include forward and backward skating, stops, edges, crossovers, and turns. Introductory levels will allow new skaters with no prior skating experience to build confidence while learning the fundamentals. Advanced skaters will be challenged with jumps, spins and choreography. All classes will be well-structured with the focus on proper skill development, taught in a positive, fun and social environment. We recommend that campers have their own skates, however, a limited $20.00 skate-leasing program for each session is available on a first-come basis payable on the first day of class.
