Camp Sealth Outdoor Adventures: Compass Orienteering
Description
Join a Camp Sealth instructor to learn how to use a magnetic compass to determine headings, then test your skills in navigating 3 different orienteering courses in a geocaching-like experience! No prior orienteering experience is necessary!

All participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18. This adult must register for the event as well, but is able to register at no cost if not participating in the activity.

We recommend wearing closed-toed shoes and long pants during the event to protect your feet and legs from rocks, branches, and thorny/stinging plants.

We have an easy, medium, and hard orienteering course that scales in both its difficulty of navigation and its terrain. The easy course involves walking 1/4 mile over mostly flat terrain, while the hard course involves hiking 2/3 mile with parts at a moderately steep incline.
