Camp Sealth Outdoor Adventures: Compass Orienteering
Description
Join a Camp Sealth instructor to learn how to use a magnetic compass to determine headings, then test your skills in navigating 3 different orienteering courses in a geocaching-like experience! No prior orienteering experience is necessary!

We recommend wearing closed-toed shoes and long pants during the event to protect your feet and legs from rocks, branches, and thorny/stinging plants.

We have an easy, medium, and hard orienteering course that scales in both its difficulty of navigation and its terrain. The easy course involves walking 1/4 mile over mostly flat terrain, while the hard course involves hiking 2/3 mile with parts at a moderately steep incline.
