MTB 101 - Wheelie Fun Camp
Description
MTB 101 - Wheelie Fun Camp, run by Country Day's very own Simon Keilty and Neal Boyd, is geared towards kids who are past training wheels and ready for their next two-wheel adventure. The camp will start with a morning in the parking lot where we make MINOR adjustments to bicycles and run the kids through a bicycle safety rodeo. At the rodeo, we will assess each camper's biking abilities. In the afternoon, we will head to a local greenway for a fun ride on different types of terrain. Each day, we will take our campers to different mountain bike trails with unique and challenging terrain. We WILL be riding singletrack trails so campers must have a 20" wheel or larger mountain bike with knobby tires. Safety for our campers is top priority so all must properly fit their bicycle. A bike that is too big is unsafe to ride on trails. Bicycles must be in proper working order with no flat spots or bald tires. Campers will also need full-finger gloves, a hydration pack with a bladder or bottle holder, and a bike specific helmet.
