Description
This camp will give students the opportunity to review Math concepts in a fun, interactive and engaging way as they prepare for the upcoming school year, through the lens of food! Sessions will be led by highly qualified and licensed teachers, who will focus on Math content that students tend to need review on to minimize “summer slide” from year to year. Through books, projects, hands-on engagement, games, and even cooking, students will enjoy the math practice presented to them through this camp. This course, taught by a licensed teacher and Connections Academics Team Members, will have a small student to teacher ratio, allowing for an intimate and focused learning experience. We will present students with hands-on, peer interactive activities to create high engagement while practicing the foundational skills of number sense, operations, and problem solving.
