Description
Design, Code, and Create with AI is an six-session after-school adventure where students in grades 4–8 create browser-based games with JavaScript while harnessing Cursor, the cutting-edge AI coding companion. Future designers transform brainstorms into playable prototypes, refining them through rapid testing and iteration. Along the way they learn “prompt engineering,” the skill of communicating with AI to generate and debug code efficiently.

Each session spotlights a core game-development concept—sprite animation, physics, sound, scoring, power-ups—and challenges kids to personalize the lesson with their own storylines and artwork. Peer collaboration is built in: classmates swap ideas, play-test one another’s builds, and practice the feedback loops used by professional studios.

Parents appreciate that the lab builds genuine programming fluency, logical thinking, and digital creativity while also teaching responsible, ethical AI use. Students gain perseverance by troubleshooting bugs, celebrating each breakthrough as their games grow richer. By the final class every participant publishes a polished game to our public showcase site - Game on!
