January Restorative Yoga
Description
The extended two-hour format of this restorative yoga class honors the natural rhythm of winter—a season that invites us to slow down, conserve energy, and turn inward. Just as nature rests and restores during these darker months, this practice creates space for deep replenishment and quiet reflection after the busy holiday season, embracing the stillness that winter offers, and allowing room to rest and renew for the year ahead. We'll begin with intentional movement to release stagnant energy and gently awaken the body, then transition into longer held, fully supported restorative postures to foster profound quiet and calm in both mind and body.

Please come prepared with:
Yoga mat
Blanket (a yoga blanket, or any firm blanket will work)
Bolster or pillow(s)
2 yoga blocks (optional but nice to have)
Yoga strap (or scarf)
Cozy socks (and any other layers you like)

*NOTE: If you do not own the above, feel free to be creative, or to reach out prior to class for recommendations on sourcing props or help choosing alternative items from around your home to bring instead! jlgaudet@gmail.com

All are welcome, from beginner to seasoned practitioner, for this extended practice of self-care and winter renewal.
