Session 4 Mariners Overnight Camp
Description
"Become the ultimate mariner! As part of this program, campers will conquer the water both on and off camp. Girl Scouts will spend three days and two nights at Mystic Seaport Museum, including sleeping below decks on the historic 1880s Joseph Conrad vessel. Working together as crews, campers will explore maritime history, ocean science, and life on the Mystic River through hands-on activities such as dip netting, team-building challenges, rowing, and a rigging climb. The experience also includes stargazing in the planetarium and a nautical movie night! When not at the Mystic Seaport Museum, Girl Scouts will continue the adventure with a sailing field trip, boating, and more back at camp.
