Crafty Scientists - Session 4
Description
In this hands-on, creativity-packed science program, campers will transform everyday recycled materials into amazing scientific creations, becoming inventors, engineers, and curious explorers. Using cardboard tubes, bottle caps, scrap paper, string, boxes, and other upcycled treasures, campers will dive into the forces and energy that make our world move.
Young scientists will design and build their own roller coasters, experimenting with slopes, curves, and loops to understand kinetic and potential energy. Through trial, error, and teamwork, they will discover how height, friction, and speed work together to send marbles racing along their handcrafted tracks. Campers will also participate in paper challenges, where they will fold, twist, roll, and shape sheets of paper into bridges, ramps, tunnels, and moving mechanisms. From building the tallest standing paper tower to crafting paper pathways that guide objects through obstacle courses, campers will put problem-solving and design to the test.
