Make it Move! Robotics & Animation Movie Making - Session 2
Description
In week one, campers will use LEGO® Spike Prime® technology to explore the basics of robotics while building spectacular vehicles and machines! While working in small groups, campers will be shown how to effectively utilize motion, pressure, and color sensors and how different mechanical components work to create robotic movements. Campers will also be taught how to use word-block coding to program and control their creations via Bluetooth. In week two, campers will do more than just enjoy the magic of movies, they will get to create their own animated film using LEGO® mini-figures! Campers will work in teams to learn the fundamentals of stop motion animation, and they will go through the entire movie-making process - from plot development, set design, and visual and audio editing. The best part, their movie will be saved and made available so they can share their film with friends and family for years to come.
All robotics builds will differ from those at other weeks at FaySummer to ensure new learning, ideas and more fun!
