Donations and Warehouse Operations Training October 24-26, 2025 at Cohutta Springs Convention Center.

In collaboration with the North American Division Adventist Community Services (NAD ACS), the Georgia-Cumberland Conference of Seventh-day Adventists invites you to a comprehensive Donations and Warehouse Operations Training & Certification weekend at Cohutta Springs. This dynamic event will prepare participants to serve effectively during disaster relief efforts and includes a specialized Train-the-Trainer track for leaders who will equip others within their regions.

The weekend fee including meals is $50 for a commuter, $75 for a double occupancy room (both need to register separately), and $100 for a single occupancy room.

Course Description:

This intensive course provides a hands-on, systems-based approach to understanding and managing the flow of donated goods during all phases of disaster response - from preparedness to recovery. Participants will gain critical knowledge in managing community donations, operating multi-agency warehouses, and coordinating with partner organizations and government agencies.

Core Topics Include:

• Donations Operations:
Understanding the life cycle of donated goods, including collection, organization, and distribution.

• Multi-Agency Warehouse Operations:
Layout planning, receiving and sorting goods, inventory systems, staging for distribution, and mobile unit deployment.

• Emergency Distribution Models:
Set up and management of fixed and mobile distribution centers, and strategies for meeting immediate community needs.

• Train-the-Trainer Certification Track (Per Request or Invitation):
For experienced leaders desiring to certify and train others in donations and warehouse operations across their GCC Churches.

• Adventist Community Services leaders and volunteers
• Local church disaster response coordinators
• ACS center staff and GCC-ACS Advisory members.

Certification:

Participants who complete the full training will receive NAD ACS Donations and Warehouse Operations Certification. Train-the-Trainer candidates will receive Instructor Certification upon successful completion of the additional track.
